Rally Novice |
Prerequisite: Beginner Obedience Cost: $90 Minimum Age: 1 year Duration: 6 weeks (1 class/week)
This class will be incorporated into the Tricks and CGC classes. AKC Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has been designed by the rally judge. The judge tells the handler to begin, and the dog and handler proceed at a brisk pace through a course of designated stations (10 – 20, depending on the level). Each station has a sign providing instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. The dog and handler move continuously at a brisk but normal pace with the dog under control at the handler’s left side. AKC Rally trials demonstrate the dog has fun trained to behave in the home, in the presence of other dogs, in public at all times. There are 2 beginner Rally classes, Novice and Intermediate. These classes are performed on leash. |
