The CGC Program is a two-part program that is designed to:

    1. Teach responsible dog ownership to owners
    2. Certify dogs that have the training and behaviors needed to be reliable, well-behaved members of their families and communities

Dogs who pass the CGC test have demonstrated they are under good control and are safe around people and other dogs. The purpose of the CGC Program is to ensure that our favorite companion, the dog, can be a respected member of the community because it has been trained to be well behaved in the home, in public places, and in the presence of other dogs.

For more information, please visit the AKC website.

CGC, CGCA, TKN, and TKI testing are typically scheduled together in a single session. If the test you are interested in is full please continue to register for that test and join the waitlist. Capacities between the tests in a single session may be adjusted to accommodate the specific tests people have registered for.

AKC Trick Dog is one of AKC’s most popular training programs because trick training is fun for both dogs and their trainers.

Tricks are behaviors that are designed to entertain others. AKC Trick Dog ranges from very simple novice tricks such as teaching your dog to get in a box on cue, to complex tricks that are several behaviors chained together in one exciting sequence. The Novice Trick Dog test confirms demonstration of at least 10 novice skills.

Placement Test: Find Your Dog’s Perfect Class Match!

Brand new to the club but your dog already has some training experience elsewhere? That’s what our Placement Test is for! Our evaluator will walk you and your dog through a few simple exercises to gauge their current training level, focus, and confidence, and help determine which OCC class is the best fit.

    Why take a Placement Test?

    • Ensures your dog is in the right class for their skill level

    • Sets you both up for success and fun

    • Saves time and frustration (no jumping ahead or getting stuck behind!)

It’s not about passing or failing—it’s about finding the perfect spot so you and your furry friend can make the most of your training journey.
