    Prerequisites: Dogs 6+ month old and OBC100 Beginner Obedience


     Instructor:  Kristen Childs
     Assistants:  Jackie Starr
     Day/Time:  Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 PM (6 sessions at 60 minutes/session)
    Capacity:  8 handler/dog pairs


     Semester: 2026-S4 Track: Scent Work   Type: Class


    Scentwork 1 will introduce dogs to searching and build drive for searching. Using food rewards, dogs will learn to search inside of boxes and other containers, search under objects and on top of objects, around corners and in mazes. Handlers will learn long line handling skills. No scent will be introduced in this class. Handlers will need to bring plenty of high value rewards. Dogs will need to be able to be crated.
